Who's this selling to?

Hangbag_1 I have to ask - Does this ad make anyone want to buy a handbag??  The only thing it did for me was make me feel bad about myself.  On my best day, a handbag isn't covering any section of my body (unless it's an over sized hand bag) never mind would my hands cover my breasts so completely.

While laying in the bath reading Glamour magazine (it was my dumb luck I happened to be naked when I saw this ad for the first time) I saw this ad, examined the photo and thought ' who are they selling to with this ad??  Who's going to look at that picture and think - that's a really nice hand bag?'

I guess it's no wonder why the last time I read Glamour in the bath, I walked downstairs  to my husband completely naked into the living room and asked - 'Do I have back fat?'  lol Funny I know, but sad all the same. Honestly, someone tell me who they're directing this ad to.  They say know your target audience.  Who is the target here?  Who's gonna look a this in Glamour magazine and want to go near a mirror for a while?  Men don't read Glamour - so I ask again - who are they selling to?  Is it just me, or did they get it completely wrong?

Not for nothing but I'm really sick of the recent trend of emaciated models and actresses in Hollywood.  I'm so sick of seeing woman like Kate Moss, Victoria Beckam, Kyra Knightly and Nicole Kidman (etc. etc.)  They're all a size zero and maybe I'm bitter, but I don't think it's attractive.  I think they look sickly and unnatural.  Yet, when I see them I still feel fat and unattractive because I have an ass, hips and tits that are bigger than a 12 year old girl.  If I feel this way, then how do young girls feel about themselves?  Is it any wonder that eating disorders are rampid in this days and age?  Who's responsible for this trend and when is it going to stop?

I'd like to know what do men think?  Would you rather have curves like J-Lo or skin and bones like Kyra Knightly?  Really, be honest - the best part of the web is you don't have to say who you are... Like I said - does that ad make anyone want to buy a handbag?
